The heart of Faith & Fashion in the Forest lies in personal conversations about how dress codes shaped Wake Forest experiences. While our survey captures key memories, longer interviews allow for deeper storytelling about campus culture, personal experiences, and the evolution of Wake Forest’s dress traditions.

  • 30-45 minute conversation (via phone, Zoom, or in-person if local)
  • With your permission, conversations will be recorded (audio or video) and archived with WFU Special Collections & Archives
  • Questions about your memories of dress codes, campus culture, and related experiences
  • Opportunity to share stories, photos, or documents that illustrate your experiences
  • Conducted by Professor Lynn S. Neal and students in the “Faith & Fashion in the Forest” class (Spring 2026)
  • How you learned about and navigated dress expectations
  • Memorable moments related to campus dress culture
  • Changes you witnessed over time
  • The relationship between faith, fashion, and campus identity during your WF years
